Lauren Burgess and Jill Church, college roommates with a shared love for animals, embarked on a heartwarming journey into fostering cats after a serendipitous encounter with Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in June 2023. 

Since their first feline houseguest, they've fostered three more, even providing professional grooming sessions for their temporary companions. Dedicated to showcasing their foster cats' best qualities, Lauren and Jill created a Foster Cat Wall of Fame, adorning their living room with photos of their feline friends who have found forever homes.

Despite initial nervousness about adoption, Lauren and Jill's fostering experience has become a fulfilling venture, with Lauren adopting one of their foster cats named June. The pair specializes in caring for cats with special needs, finding joy and reward in nursing them back to health. 

This dynamic duo's commitment to volunteering at Best Friends reflects their dedication to the welfare of animals. Lauren and Jill's heartwarming journey also showcases the profound impact fostering can have, not just on the lives of the cats that are helped but on our own lives as well.
